My carving kits are made to order - please allow up to two weeks for dispatch. I am currently shipping orders to the following places: UK, USA, Canada and Europe. About this Carving Kit

This CARVING KIT has been created to accompany my CARVE A PUPPET HARE tutorial series. If you wish to take part in the tutorials, you will need to purchase one of these kits.

VIDEO 1 shows you what is inside a carving kit, and talks you through the tools, paints and equipment that you will need to complete the project. There is also a KIT LIST to accompany the series, which you can download below.

This CARVING KIT includes SPARE pieces for extra caving practice. It contains:

• 1 x BODY CARVING BLANK (cut from lime wood with top and profile view labels)

• 2 x LEFT FOOT CARVING BLANKS (cut from lime wood, with top view labels)

• 2 x RIGHT FOOT CARVING BLANKS (cut from lime wood, with top view labels)

• 2 x LEFT ARM CARVING BLANKS (cut from lime wood, with top view labels)

• 2 x RIGHT ARM CARVING BLANKS (cut from lime wood, with top view labels)

• 1 x LEFT THIGH CARVING BLANK (cut from lime wood, with top view label)

• 1 x RIGHT THIGH CARVING BLANK (cut from lime wood, with top view label)

• 1 x A5 colour reference sheet

• 1 x small block of lime wood with pre-drilled hole (for the control handle)

• 1 x 20cm length of carbon fibre rod (for the control)

• 1 x bag of sundry materials, including

  • 1 x kraft card sheet of ear and tail pieces

  • 1 x short length of braided thread

  • 2 x small wood screws

  • 2 x 3mm washers

  • 2 x strips of faux leather

  • 2 x glass eyes on wire (comprising of 2 x black beads and 2 x amber beads)

  • 2 x ‘ear plugs’ and 1 x ‘tail plug’

  • 1 x wire threader

Please note: the contents of your carving kit will come as pictured, but the packaging may vary. The maximum number of carving kits per order is six. These carving kits will be packaged individually.

Recommended Participant Age: 16+

These tutorials are intended for ADULTS. They are not suitable for children as they involve the use of sharp equipment and epoxy glues. My carving kits are resources for adult learning. They are NOT intended as toys for children (and are not made to toy safety regulations). It is therefore your responsibility to supervise any child’s play with your finished puppet.
